BA HONs Marketing and Advertising

Guys, girls, women, men, aliens, predictors, nargilla smokers, non nargilla smokers, cockroaches (very clever animals may I add) GUESS WHAT?! I am going ramble on about my life in the past two years whether you like it or not.. feel free and read OR well I guess the case may be, NOT!
Now I am home and not travelling any more and have time to spare on my hands here and there SO feeling I should pick up the blog a bit more.
SO going to split up this next LONG blog into different sections:
Leeds,Travel Dublin, London and Israel , Love, Fashion and jobs and getting in touch with old friends. (with theories about what I have learnt through out) but will do it in separate published writings so it not too long to read.
OK so here it goes:

Leeds

Finishing Leeds Metropolitan Marketing and Advertising Management course was probably one of the greatest achievements in my little life so far. In the last year of University (third year) didn't end up having a placement year partly due to the economic recession with there being no jobs for either graduates or sandwich part time students looking for one ( and oh its not really changed today either.)
To finish off a year of what must have been a lot of highs but an equal amount of lows we had a BBQ in the student house where I was living in the middle of grotty Hyde Park on Welton Road where shoes are put on electric cables and leaflets are posted through your front door because of certain dirty dealings! Anyway had a BBQ outside in the garden with a LOAD of alcohol, burger buns and I don't know how but half the living room furniture ended up outside too. Don't get me wrong was a frikking awesome funny night! 'the album on Facebook is called did somebody say BBQ'
You can imagine when it came to Graduation day. It was fun, a barrel of laughs, you know.. the fact I couldn't get that ridiculous american style square hat over my HUGE barnet/head of hair or the fact all the girls were in heels and tripped up over their cloaks every five minutes. When my mum just started crying everywhere all the time or when your grandma and says you've got something on your face and gets a wet wipe out, remind you of anything in particular like that of when you were in the school playground age 14 and you didn't want your parents to be there?! embarrassing baloney...
Time for the ceremony: everyone got up row by row to go and collect their awards. There me and my course mates are queuing up by the side of the stage, whispering a number and our names into a woman's ear, ready for the presenter to shout out our names and final grade. VICTORIA SAUNDERS and there I go across the stage looking like a fur ball or one of those tumbleweeds rolling silently across a desert, look over at my mother what she doing? yeap you can guess.. crying all over the place. Along with my grandma!
what seemed like hours later we were lead out into a great hall/tent which looked like it was about to fall down/ shiny white building in the distance full of food. I mean thank thank the Lord that they actually had FOOD. Put it this way I paid a hell of of a lot for one ticket bearing in mind there were 5 of us. soo you get to meet the bumbling parents of course mates here and there. You know how English people are..Hugh Grant that's what other Europeans or The Rest Of the World (thats how the specify it when you looking at an advanced search when trying to find a job I mean 'rest of world' eehh?!) anyway shy and introvert. One of those days hey, that when you get home want to kick off your amazing shoes and think well that was a day of independence, well-being and honour but now I can write next to my name BA HONS Marketing and Advertising Management! woo hoo!
All of this was last summer ever since in the past year the government have passed rules in the law of fees per year going up in Universities in 2012. This makes it even harder for people to go. Just hope my brother and sister one day get to look pretty and walk across that stage on day.
I must say a year down the line and I have not kept in touch with the Leeds friends as much as I would have liked to! Gotta meet up soonage guys! miss you all dearly!
Next blog is about my travels! pshhhh xx
